Famous Pacific Shipping (FPS) Group – the global forwarding and NVOCC system - has appointed two new Network Members.

Global Logistics, headquartered in Mumbai, has its own regional offices in Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Tuticorin and Jaipur, with representation at other key locations throughout India. The company’s main business is LCL exports and import consolidations, and it acts as a neutral consolidator with a focus on sales to local and international forwarders. It also provides shippers with FCL freight forwarding, airfreight and project logistics services. Global Logistics was founded in 2006, and now employs more than 200 staff.

Mombasa-based LCL Logistix Kenya is the subsidiary of existing FPS Indian member LCL Logistix. It provides FCL and LCL imports and deconsolidation for Kenya via Mombasa, with onforwarding to Uganda, South Sudan and Somalia. Via its sister office at Tanzania’s port of Dar Es Salaam, LCL Logistix also serves Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia and Congo. The company can also handle airfreight imports via Mombasa and Dar Es Salaam, and additionally services heavylift shipments for the interior.

Says FPS Advisory Board Chairman Gihan Nanayakkara: “We welcome these new members to the FPS family, and look forward to working closely with them to further develop the scale and capabilities of our system.”
