Fred Parshley, director of Freight Forwarding for UniGroup Worldwide UTS, was recently re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Airforwarders Association, a seat he has held since 1999.

The Directors are volunteer Board members and are elected to four-year terms by the membership of the Airforwarders Association, a nonprofit organization founded in 1990 by three major forwarders. The Association is an alliance of indirect air carriers, cargo airlines, and affiliated businesses encompassing more than 200 air forwarding companies with more than 3,000 offices throughout the United States. The organization exists to help members maintain and increase market share and to provide the highest level of service to our forwarding customers, ensuring the continuous movement of global commerce.

In his position at UniGroup Worldwide UTS, Parshley is responsible for the development and management of the domestic and international commodity freight forwarding activities for UniGroup Worldwide, with an emphasis on international and domestic trade shows, high-tech door-to-door forwarding, and project forwarding.

Parshley has more than 28 years experience in international logistics and specialized distribution. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire in business administration and is a member of the International Exhibit Logistics Association.
