Leading shipping, logistics and marine services provider, GAC Bahrain announces the successful completion of all the logistical requirements for the Bahrain 2nd Boat Show International (BSSI) ' where they were appointed the Official Logistics Provider for the second time.

The show marked the largest fleet of luxury boats coming together in the Kingdom for the first time, and showcased Bahrain as a premier sailing and leisure destination.

'We are proud to be associated with the prestigious event once again; one which was an incredible success through the hard work and efforts of our valued partner and the show organiser Knotika,' says Captain Peter Gronberg, Managing Director of GAC Bahrain.

End-to-end support
GAC was entrusted with all the logistics for the boat show, from origin to destination, all the way through to delivery on site. In addition to exhibitions stands, equipment and other accessories, GAC lent its expertise to handle the seventeen iconic boats which were showcased during the show at the Amwaj Marinas.

'Leveraging our multi-modal capabilities and strong network, we executed simultaneous operations via sea from various origin points as well as by road from the GCC countries.'

'Due to the varying specifications of the boats which can be over 70 metres in length, careful execution by our specialised team, especially during loading and unloading, were essential in ensuring absolute protection to each vessel. Thanks to our well-honed system, everything reached the site at the right place, at the right time,' adds Gronberg.

This included the world's fastest conventional powered boat Silver Zwei which is also the longest known aluminum boat built, luxury yacht Linda Lou and inspirational quadriplegic yachtswoman Hilary Lister's specially-made sailing boat sponsored by the Sail Bahrain project.
