Gebr'der Weiss is investing in the Czech Republic and strengthens its presence in the immediate vicinity of Prague. Last Friday (19 April), the global transport and logistics company officially opened a state-of-the-art transhipment centre in Jeneč. The terminal is conveniently located close to the international airport and has direct access to major traffic arteries around the Czech capital. Total investments amount to 15 million euros.

The site, with 10,000 square metres of transhipment and logistics facilities and 3,000 square metres of office space, forms a sound basis for further development in the Czech Republic. 'By expanding our capacities, we can offer even higher-quality services in future,' says Harald Prohaska, Country Manager of GW Czech Republic. The branch features an ADR warehouse, which enables storage and handling of hazardous goods in accordance with the currently highest standards. 'Optimising our network in CZ is also a huge advantage for our international customers and partners,' Prohaska continues.

At the new head office of its Czech country organisation, Gebr'der Weiss will offer the entire service portfolio, ranging from land transport and air and sea freight to individual logistics solutions. All services will be performed in accordance with Gebr'der Weiss' usually high quality standards.
