SAS Cargo has awarded an exclusive cargo general sales agency contract in Germany to Globe Air cargo.

In total, SAS Group operates some 270 flights a week ex Germany, including its Spanair and Blue 1 operations. Flights operate from Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Tegel, Dusseldorf and Hamburg airport using wide-body Airbus passenger and cargo aircraft plus narrow-body Airbus and Boeing jets.

Globe, part of the ECS Group which already acts as SAS Cargo's GSA partner in Switzerland and Spain, forecasts it will generate up to 6,500 tons of cargo a year from Germany. ''

Export shipments from Germany besides general cargo are expected to include live animals, perishables, AOG parts and express goods.
