Three veterans bring wealth of experience to burgeoning department

Hanjin Logistics, Inc. has announced the hiring of three sales veterans to oversee key accounts in its New Jersey, Boston and San Francisco offices. Kevin Mack (New Jersey), William Lyons, Jr. (Boston) and Stuart Nakayama (San Francisco) bring more than 50 years of industry experience to Hanjin Logistics, the new subsidiary of Hanjin Shipping Co., Ltd.

"As Hanjin Logistics expands its size and scope worldwide, we will look to each of these seasoned professionals to lead the way in collaborative logistics sales for both the international and domestic markets.

At Hanjin Logistics, Mack will be responsible for soliciting key accounts in the metropolitan New York/New Jersey vicinity, as well as in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia, to consult on Hanjin's full-range of logistics services. Lyons will take on sales coverage from New York City north throughout upstate New York and all of New England (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut). In addition, he will be involved with the Log-Net product supporting the HJL 3PL sales team. Nakayama will handle sales coverage in parts of the West and Central regions, as well as assist the entire HJL 3PL sales team in defining/implementing new product development & integrated solutions worldwide.

Mack brings 20 years of experience in the transportation industry to Hanjin Logistics. Most recently, Mack has held various sales and management positions, most recently with Panalpina, after years with Sealand and APL in a similar capacity. An area native, Mack earned his bachelor's degree in history from Rutgers University.

Lyons joins Hanjin Logistics with more than 16 years of experience in technology and international and domestic transportation, as well as the technology sector. He most recently worked for V-Logic Ltd., a Hong Kong-based 3PL, where he was vice president of sales and marketing. He has also worked for Manhattan Associates' Account Management Division based in Atlanta, G.A. Lyons' earlier positions were with the CSX organization, where he held various sales and management positions with CSX intermodal, and Sea-Land Service, working in all trades within the New England and Eastern Canadian marketplace. A lifelong native of Massachusetts, Lyons received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Eastern Nazarene College and is pursuing his master's degree in psychology from Salem State College.

Nakayama has more than 15 years of liner/logistics experience in sales, public relations and customer service. Before Hanjin Logistics, Nakayama spent 11 years with OOCL/OOCL Logistics. Most recently as Director of Sales, Western USA. Prior to OOCL, Stuart was with Mitsui OSK Lines, The California-native earned his bachelor's degree in international relations at UCLA and a master's degree in international studies at Claremont Graduate University.
