Hansa Heavy Lift has appointed Maximilian Harmstorf as Head of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, based in Hamburg/Germany. Maximilian has over a decade of experience in the maritime industry and spent eight years in Asia in senior management roles for a number of brokers and shipping lines. He joined Hansa Heavy Lift in 2014 as Senior Chartering Manager in Singapore and his appointment completes Hansa Heavy Lift’s restructure into regional divisions including EMEA, Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Americas. Maximilian said he was looking forward to working with the HANSA team in Europe to develop solutions for customers with increasingly complex and highly sophisticated transportation requirements. “Our in-house engineering expertise means we can develop the right solution for our clients and I am looking forward to sharing that knowledge with our growing customer base in the EMEA region,” said Maximilian. “HANSA’s specialized on-site team of naval architects, structural engineers and welding experts with shipyard, offshore and installation backgrounds use the latest tools and calculation methods to find the best and safest solution for any offshore or inshore transportation and installation project,” said Joerg Roehl, CCO and Managing Director, Hansa Heavy Lift. Roger Iliffe, Hansa Heavy Lift CEO, said he was looking forward to a strong 2015 backed by an experienced team at the helm of the company’s new regional divisions and a network of exclusive agents worldwide. “Our decision to move to a regional structure has proved to be a success for Hansa Heavy Lift and I am delighted to welcome Max to his new role,” he said.
