New York based Cargo Ventures brings International logistics players to the neighborhood Take a ride down McClellan Highway these days and you will discover a flourish of unexpected activity. The past few weeks have been busy in East Boston with the introduction of several new tenants at Logan Cargo Park. Located at 440/480 McClellan Highway, the 260,000 square foot Logan Cargo Park is now home to international logistics leaders including FedEx Trade Networks, Japan Airlines, and Savino Del Bene USA.

‘We see the influx of activity at Logan Cargo Park as further proof that the freight forwarding and logistics industry continues to grow in East Boston. For many years East Boston was plagued with antiquated office and warehouse facilities. With our new building at 480 McClellan and the recently finished renovations including a new parking lot at 440 McClellan, Logan Cargo Park has emerged as the go to location for freight forwarders, custom brokers and trucking operations working in and around Logan airport.’ Says Justin Schultz, Vice President of Leasing and Business Development for Cargo Ventures.

FedEx Trade Networks provides international customs brokerage and transportation opportunities, trade and customs advisory services, cargo insurance, and duty drawback programs to their clientele. Japan Airlines not only provides luxury passenger service to Japan’s political and business elite, but also offers air cargo solutions for the transportation of goods from Japan to the rest of the world. Savino Del Bene, a Florence, Italy based logistics and supply chain management enterprise has evolved from a small family business to a Mediterranean heavyweight that offers high volume solutions for the movement of international goods. Other recent additions to the property include Ground Services International, which provides ground-handling services at major airports across the country and a new Starbucks drive-thru retail location that is set to open during the 1st quarter 2008.
