This fiscal year (1 July 2012 until 30 June 2013) HIDC facilitated a smooth entry into the European market through the Netherlands for no less than 54 American companies. With help from HIDC, firms such as Spanx and Hair Direct opted to transition to the Netherlands. CEO Dirk ’t Hooft: “Thanks to our knowledge of the European market, logistics and legal and financial regulations, as well as our vast logistics network in the Netherlands, we are able to offer American companies expert advice and to put them in touch with the right Dutch partner. We help companies design the most effective route to reach their customers in Europe and beyond, supporting their business strategy and driving excellent customer experience.” Logistics advice Based on our experience and in-depth knowledge of European logistics, HIDC is able to tailor advice and matchmaking services to foreign companies entering the European market or re-engineering their European supply chain structures. The HIDC team frequently travels to the United States to help companies on site, encourage personal contact and organize seminars and round tables. Bill Biesecker, President of Hair Direct, Inc.: “HIDC has been instrumental in gathering the information we needed to solidify our strategy for the European market. Without their network of contacts, establishing our business in Almere would have been extremely difficult and time consuming.” APAC & MEA region In addition to American companies, HIDC helps companies from the APAC & MEA region gain access to Europe. During the same period, HIDC advised 21 companies from this region and put them in touch with Dutch partners.
