BNSF Railway Company was recently recognized by GLOVIS America for "Excellence and Dedication in Providing Superior Service in Vehicle Handling" during 2005. GLOVIS America is the logistics management company responsible for Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motors America in the United States. BNSF also received this award from GLOVIS two years ago.

"The BNSF continues to be instrumental in the shipment of Hyundai and Kia vehicles from the West Coast to the Midwest and Texas, and now from the new Hyundai plant in Montgomery, Alabama to the Western United States as well," says Marv Baisden, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, GLOVIS America. "In 2005, BNSF handled more than 200,000 Kia and Hyundai vehicles and showed the greatest improvement by delivering nearly all of them damage free."

According to Marc Allen, BNSF Assistant Vice President, Automotive Marketing, BNSF places a high priority on ensuring every vehicle reaches its destination damage free.

During 2005 the BNSF handled nearly 1.8 million motor vehicles with 99.8% arriving damage-free.
