IES Ltd. announced that Atlas Freight Systems will implement a full suite of IES logistics and supply chain applications.

IES is proud to announce that Houston-based forwarder Atlas Freight Systems has selected IES' integrated suite of logistics and supply chain applications including Accounting, Import, Export, Customs House Brokerage, Statistics, Workflow Management, AES filing, Events and Exceptions Management, Inventory Based Warehouse, Purchase Order Direct and Web Tracking to manage their international operations.

Atlas Freight Systems moves time critical cargo from high-tech manufacturing to oilfield equipment anywhere on the globe 365 days a year. Atlas has been able to set high standards in customer satisfaction by combining the theories of Total Quality Management with the implementation assurances provided by ISO 9000-type work processes. Their disparate logistics applications were making it increasing difficult to maintain their stringent level of quality service. IES software will enable Atlas Freight Systems to provide origin-based bar-coding, en route allocations, cross-dock shipping, online visibility, without the development expenditure and lengthy implementation process often associated with supply-chain technology.

'We were looking for a software provider that addressed all of our corporate needs, addressed the many specific requirements based on our customers' needs and included an accounting package that was integrated with the product modules. Our research led us to IES. The icing on the cake was the user friendliness of their program. The systems we are replacing required us to use a separate product for Customs clearance. At the end of the month, when we tried to transfer entries to the unrelated accounting package and it was always a nightmare requiring 3 to 4 people wasting hours making adjustments. IES' accounting package will save us days in terms of operations and accounting work. We should save 20% to 30% in time by eliminating re-keying data in imports. Their warehouse module provides customer information beyond the capabilities of our current software,' said Jim Middleton, President of Atlas Freight Systems.

'We are committed to personal communication, so every call to Atlas Freight Systems is answered by an operations agent who is prepared to handle any forwarding need. Using IES' integrated system that promise will be much easier to keep,' added Mr. Middleton.
