IJS Global's new world headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands has been awarded TAPA A status by DNV Business Assurance ' one of the country's independent, third party management certification bodies.

TAPA is a unique forum which unites global manufacturers, logistics providers, freight carriers, law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders with the common aim of reducing losses from international supply chains. It has established standards to ensure minimum requirements for safe and secure transportation, storage and warehousing of air cargo transiting on and off airports and airport associated facilities worldwide. Reaching TAPA A shows that you achieve the best standards and practices of the industry and you ensure your facility meets all the compliance criteria on an on-going basis through regular auditing. It promotes standardisation, certification and regulation in the supply chain.

Companies applying for TAPA A accreditation must pass a detailed physical inspection audit of their premises and they must meet numerous Freight Security Requirements which are then maintained throughout the supply chain. The introduction of TAPA A standards has particularly had a positive effect on reducing losses in the manufacture, transportation and distribution of high value goods.

"Achieving TAPA A status at our world headquarters shows our customers our commitment and dedication to creating a seamless, safe, secure and transparent supply chain," says The Netherlands Country Manager, Edwin Koopman. "We started this process alongside the refurbishment of this building and we are delighted to have achieved this status within a month of moving in".
