Global freight forwarder IJS Global opens new branches in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Luxembourg and appoints new ocean freight director Amsterdam, The Netherlands - International freight forwarder IJS Global has appointed Dave Minnebach as Ocean Freight Director EMEA, Jean-Luc Demoulin as Branch Manager Luxembourg, and Michael Leentjes as Branch Manager Rotterdam, as part of ongoing global expansion plans.

Minnebach will be based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, where he will head up the forwarder’s Ocean Freight Division.

Demoulin will manage the new Luxembourg branch, whilst Leentjes will be in charge of the Rotterdam office, which officially opens this month and will serve as the headquarters of the Ocean Freight Division. “The container shipping industry is challenging and rapidly evolving, and the demand for highly specialized ocean freight solutions, such as shipping sensitive pharmaceuticals, is increasing,” said Minnebach. “I am delighted to be taking up this new role at such an exciting time for the industry and for IJS Global, to ensure that we build on our strength as a specialist supplier.” Minnebach brings over a decade of experience in container shipping, including management roles with Hapag-Lloyd. Leentjes, who brings two decades of experience in transport and logistics including with DB Schenker and FedEx, will report into Minnebach and said he was looking forward to building IJS Global’s ocean product.

Demoulin, who has over 20 years’ experience in transport and logistics, with four years in the pharmaceutical industry, said he was looking forward to developing the new Luxembourg office. “I am pleased to be bringing the benefit of my experience in transport, and especially in the pharmaceutical sector, to support the IJS Global team,” said Demoulin. IJS Global is building up its Luxembourg office to be its main European airfreight hub, supported by extensive road feeder services delivered by its strategic partner H.Essers.
