Intermarine took delivery of the Industrial Edge recently, the third in a series of four newbuildings entering the fleet this year. Delivered in Portugal in early July, the vessel sailed for Hamburg, Antwerp, Rotterdam, and St. Nazaire (France) where the ship is loading project cargoes for Brazil. The heaviest piece is a 320 MT Engine loading in St. Nazaire for Manaus, Brazil. Nominated as the E-Class series, these 10,000 DWT vessels feature dual 250 metric ton cranes that may be combined for 500 ton lifts. With an overall length of 139 meters and beam of 20 meters, the ships have a similar hull design as the seven Century and six Diamond class vessels operated by Intermarine services, but with increased cargo carrying capacity. The remaining vessel in the series, the Industrial Echo, is expected to deliver in early 2010.

Intermarine provides regular and reliable project transportation in the Americas and Asia as well as customized services worldwide. The company has offices in Houston, New Orleans, Caracas, Buenos Aires, Seoul, Shanghai and Mumbai.
