IWLA elected Robert R. Auray Jr., CLP, to serve as chairman of the association's Board of Directors for 2005-06. He succeeds Tony Becker, CLP, of Port Jersey Logistics. Auray, of Milford, CT, is co-founder, president and CEO of AFH Logistics Solutions, a warehouse-based logistics solutions provider. Prior to founding AFH, he served as president and CEO of USCO Logistics, which was purchased by Kuehne + Nagel of Switzerland in 2001.

Other new officers elected were:

Vice Chairman: David Pettit, CLP, of American Distribution Centers, based in Salt Lake City, and Secretary/Treasurer: John Zevalkink, CLP, of Columbian Logistics Network, Grand Rapids, MI.

New directors elected to the Board were: Bruce Abels of Saddle Creek Corp., Bob Moran, CLP, of Amware Logistics, Ben Gordon of BG Strategic Advisors, John Auger, CLP, of Brook Warehousing Systems and Linda Hothem of PACAM. In addition, Tommy Hodges of Goggin Warehouse Co. and Jock Menzies of The Terminal Corp. were appointed advisory directors.
