'These new trucks will replace older model trucks and will refresh our fleet with new technology and improved fuel efficiency,' said Scott Temple, president of Jacobson Transportation Logistics Services. 'The new Mack tractors are EPA 2010-compliant and significantly reduce our environmental footprint. Since driver safety and retention continues to be a major priority for Jacobson, these tractors will come equipped with outstanding features for driver safety and comfort. The reliability of these new Mack tractors will enhance our ability to continue to provide outstanding Jacobson 'Can Do' service to our valued customers.'
The Pinnacle model's fuel-saving aerodynamic design includes a sloped hood, which maximizes visibility and safety. The ergonomic wraparound dash places all switches and controls within driver reach, reducing driver fatigue on long trips. The Jacobson units are equipped with MACK' ClearTech' MP8 445 horsepower engines, delivering unmatched fuel efficiency together with the power and performance required for success in on-highway applications.
'These Mack trucks save our customers money because they use less fuel and require less maintenance,' said David A. Barletta, Mack central region vice president. 'And in meeting EPA 2010 regulations, they also deliver near-zero emissions without using credits. Jacobson has told us they are proud to be servicing their customers in the U.S. with trucks that were built in the U.S. This is more than an order for high-quality, fuel-efficient trucks. We worked closely with Jacobson to design a complete ownership package that includes Mack service support, parts support, financing, technical training, and more.'
