Kane is Able, Inc. has been named Walmart’s 2008 Sam’s Carrier of the Year. According to Walmart, the national award recognizes dedication to customer service, operational excellence, and the ability to offer creative solutions to Walmart’s complex supply chain needs. Kane was chosen from 28 carriers vying for this recognition.

For Sam’s Club, Kane provides direct store delivery to club stores from two Kane-operated cross-dock centers. Commenting on the award, Kelly Abney, vice president of Walmart Corporate Transportation, says ‘Kane has set themselves apart from other carrier partners in the industry by going above and beyond to service our customers and exceeding our service expectations.’

This is the second time Kane has received this prestigious Carrier of the Year Award. Kane also has won the Sam’s Club Distribution Center of the Year Award for nine of the past 14 years.

In total, Kane manages 8.5 million square feet of warehouse space across the US. Its transportation division operates 200 power units and 925 trailers, with a focus on truckload freight to Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
