Airline Network Services' drive to deepen its market position in Southwestern United States moved into high gear with the appointment of veteran air transportation Executive to head the company's cargo sales effort in that region.

Jens Tubbesing, CEO of the New York-headquartered ANS, announced that Dawn Lindell, with two decades' experience in the industry, has assumed the position of director of sales for the Southwestern states, with particular attention to Texas' lively air freight forwarding community.

Earlier employed by Continental Airlines, originally as a sales agent in San Francisco and'Houston, Ms Lindell progressively advanced over a nine-year period to head sales in Texas,'Oklahoma and Louisiana.

With KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in Houston where she spent 11 years, Ms Lindell attained the position of global account manager and subsequently business development manager.' In the latter situation she held responsibility for sales in both Dallas and Houston markets.
