Maersk Line has long identified the Intra Asia area as a center of growth and recognizes that it will soon become one of the largest trades in the world for containerized shipments.

Due to the strong market development and customers' increasing need to deal with professionals with an in-depth knowledge and focus on this market, Maersk Line will transfer its Intra Asia services to MCC Transport Singapore (MCC) during 2009.

This will result in a unique product offering; dealing with a partner, who is close to the market, has attention to the specific trade requirements, and in tune with the dynamics that influence it. MCC will be Maersk's trade specialist in the Intra Asia market.

MCC has been a business entity within the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group since 1993 when it was acquired from the East Asiatic Company (EAC). Therefore, a reliable and financially stable partner, who has operated in the market for decades, will handle Maersk's Intra Asia services. MCC is amongst the largest feeder operators in the world.
