Maersk Line Chinese New Year 2015 - Eastbound Blank Sailings The 4713 Chinese New Year begins on February 19th, 2015, and will run for 15 days as the people around the world reunite to celebrate the holiday. 
Manufacturing plants typically shut down during this time, with many workers in the world’s supply chain taking this time off to celebrate the festivities. 
With the expected decrease in export volumes during the Chinese New year and the volume spike after the holiday. 
Maersk Line always strives to minimize impact to our clients and manage the irregular exports at this time of the year. 
For Maersk Line's coverage of the Transpacific Eastbound strings, our schedules will be altered to accommodate these volume shifts over the course of the holiday. 
The Westbound strings will be confirmed next week via a follow up advisory. Please note the sailing week is defined by the departure date from the last port call in Asia for the Eastbound transits and North America for the Westbound. 
Please refer to the date preceding the port call for the original departure date.  Eastbound: Week 8 - Feb. 16 - 22 • The TP8 service vessel departing from Qingdao on FEB 22 will be suspended. Week 9 - FEB 23 - MAR 1 • The TP8 service departing from Qingdao on MAR 1 will be suspended. Week 10 - MAR 2 - MAR 8 • The TP6 service departing from Xiamen on MAR 2 will be suspended. • The TP12 service departing from Yantian on MAR 3 will be suspended. Week 11 - MAR 9 - MAR 15 • The TP6 service departing from Xiamen on MAR 9 will be suspended.
