COPENHAGEN, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Maersk Oil, a unit of Denmark’s A.P. Moller-Maersk, has shut down exports of natural gas from its Tyra field in the Danish part of the North Sea due to a storm in northern Europe on Thursday.

“It was closed around noon,” a spokesperson said.

She said the waves in the area were around six metres high, and that the company for safety reasons had therefore decided to shut down gas exports during the storm.
