The Stockholm based investment company Medstr'ms Invest AB has acquired all outstanding shares in the Gothenburg based company Intercontainer Scandinavia AB. All staff will be retained on their current terms; the shuttle network within Sweden remains unchanged.

Intercontainer Scandinavia AB (ICS AB) was founded in 1993 as a fully owned subsidiary of Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA and with the aim to develop the intermodal market in Sweden.

Today, ICS AB offers 49 connections per week between 10 terminals in South and Middle Sweden. Furthermore, there are links with Germany and also other parts of Europe which are under development.

ICS AB will under the ownership of Medstr'ms Invest AB continue to employ all staff members and Medstr'ms Invest AB intends to invest in the further development of the successful network created during the ownership of Intercontainer-Interfrigo SA. Peter Gustavsson remains ICS's Managing Director.

'Medstr'ms AB's business strategy is to invest in small/middle range companies with well defined business ideas and with strong potential to further develop the business combined with a skilled and experienced management. ICS AB fulfils all these criteria very well, and combined with the fact that we will be able to participate in the development towards a more environmental-friendly transport-system this strengthens our engagement even further.' says Mats Lindstr'm, CEO and sole owner of the Medstr'ms Group.

Joan Dubaere, ICF liquidator and Lawyer of the Belgian Lawyers Racine and Vergels in Brussels, is positive about this solution; 'Medstr'ms Invest AB is to take over a prospering company. Thanks to its high quality standards and innovative market services, ICS has built up an excellent reputation, far beyond Scandinavia, and has the potential for further development.'
