Menlo Logistics, the US$1.7 billion global logistics and supply chain management subsidiary of Con-way Inc. (NYSE: CNW), has announced the promotion of Nick Caragher to Senior Director of Transportation Strategy and Services.

In this new role, Caragher will be the leader of Menlo’s overall strategy for transportation management solutions and services, focused on designing and managing the company’s overall approach to transportation solutions. He will review and direct how Menlo best utilizes transportation systems and value engineering tools, as well as overseeing transportation procurement processes and positioning Menlo with effective service offerings for continually changing markets and customer needs. “In the constantly evolving transportation industry, Menlo is dedicated to investing its efforts and talents in ensuring the best possible transportation solutions for our customers’ needs,” said Gary Kowalski, chief operating officer, Menlo Logistics. “Nick is a proven expert in supply chain management and is perfectly suited to take on this leadership role and support the company’s growth in this area.” Caragher originally came to Menlo in 2001, joining the company as a logistics engineer. Since then, he has demonstrated his expertise through proven results in change management, Lean principles, global transportation and management of large customer solutions. He is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain management.
