Michael Göntgens will head the communications team at Lufthansa Cargo as of 1 November. The 33-year old currently works as a team leader for PR and internal communications for the freight airline. He succeeds Matthias Eberle who has been responsible for internal communications for the Lufthansa Group including its core business of Lufthansa Passage since 15 September. Göntgens completed an aviation management trainee program at Lufthansa and has a degree in business administration (BA) and a Master of Science in Corporate Communications. In his new position, he will report to Lufthansa Cargo CEO Peter Gerber. He will take on responsibility for internal and external communications and marketing communications for the Lufthansa subsidiary. "Michael Göntgens is an experienced communicator and airline expert from within our own ranks who has been handling communications in various roles within the Lufthansa Group for ten years already", reports Peter Gerber.
