Czech Republic, Germany or the Netherlands
Moduslink considered at length whether to concentrate its European operations at its sites in the Czech Republic, Germany or the Netherlands. In the end, the Netherlands was chosen, for its central location between the largest markets in Europe, the availability of well-trained, flexible staff and the favorable tax regime. “The Netherlands is a highly strategic logistics hub in Europe, and our company and our clients have enjoyed many benefits over the last 25 years from our location in Apeldoorn,” said Scott Crawley, President, Global Operations, Sales and Marketing, ModusLink. “Today, we are managing numerous supply chain programs for global consumer electronics companies whose growth necessitates a facility that is better designed in terms of warehouse space and layout and with access to more transportation options. Happily, we have found an ideal location in Venray, and this move will improve our clients’ operations as well as our own.
NDL/HIDC is delighted that Moduslink has chosen the Netherlands. Managing Director Dirk ‘t Hooft explains: “It is important that large companies such as Moduslink remain in the Netherlands. The strength of the Netherlands lies in the attractive combination of the main location factors for logistics, infrastructure, knowledge, labor and favorable tax regulations. We are fortunate that we convinced Moduslink of this, thanks to a fruitful joint effort with our partners.
