Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. has announced that its operated coal carrier C. S. Sunshine, while steaming some 700km west of Guam on January 20, rescued all 24 Chinese crewmembers of a disabled freighter.  The rescue details are as follows: At 8:15 on January 20 (all times are local), the C.S. Sunshine, which departed Newcastle, Australia, bound for Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture, Japan, received a distress signal from a Panama-flagged freighter that had lost power. The C.S. Sunshine immediately altered course and made for the distressed vessel at all possible speed.  15:40 on January 20, 24 Chinese crewmembers were successfully rescued.  10:45 on January 22, all rescued crewmembers were transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard.
