MOL Liner Ltd. (“MOL Liner”) and MOL Asia Ltd. (“MOL Asia) is pleased to announce that the companies had moved forward with changes in its senior management. Richard Hiller, currently the executive vice president of Transpacific trade management in MOL Liner, became chief of commercial in MOL Liner. The position is a newly created position, Rich‟s key responsibilities include; head of global sales with functional report responsibility of area sales, where each area sales head is to functionally report to him while their reporting line in each area remains as it is; Improve company‟s overall customer service quality globally; lead global sales team as well as global marketing function. Rich at the same time assumed the role of deputy managing director in MOL Asia as well as general manager of sales and customer service to assist managing director, Mitsujiro Akasaka of MOL Asia. While Rich had been in several key positions of MOL America he moved to MOL Liner headquarters in Hong Kong in 2013 for his current position as executive vice president of Transpacific trade management for MOL Liner. He will report to Yutaka Hinooka, chief operation officer of MOL Liner and Mitsujiro Akasaka. Sundeep Sibal, currently regional managing director, Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) South region, became senior vice president in MOL Liner, Transpacific trade and report to chief operation officer of MOL Liner, Yutaka Hinooka. Backed by Sundeep‟s 25 years of shipping experience in the Indian market and with his experience as regional managing director in 2005 for the growing but challenging markets such as India Sub Continent, East Africa, Indian Ocean Islands and the Middle East, and most recently for ASEAN South in 2011, Sundeep will surely put MOL in the Transpacific trade in stable profitable condition. His work will be based in Hong Kong. Colin De Souza, currently senior vice president of MOL Europe, Transatlantic and Europe- Africa trade, assumed the role of regional managing director, ASEAN South region. Colin will report to managing director, Mitsujiro Akasaka of MOL Asia. His long history and strong background in trade management in the North South trade in the past and most recently on the Transatlantic and Europe-Africa trade is a definite plus for the continued expansion of the ASEAN South region. Colin will move to Asia for his new assignment. Johan Van de Peer, currently assistant vice president of MOL Europe, Asia Europe trade has been promoted to vice president in MOL Europe and assumed as the Transatlantic and Europe- Africa trade. Johan has a long and rich experience in the North-South trade in his past professional career in the industry since 1988. He joined MOL in 2012 and his promotion to succeed his position will surely benefit MOL‟s strong commitment to the Transatlantic and Europe-Africa trades. His work base will remain at Rotterdam, the Netherlands. James Galligan, currently director of MOL Asia Ltd. has been appointed to the position of vice president of MOL Liner and assume as Transpacific pricing. Also known to many as “Jim”, Jim has been in the company for nearly 30 years, he had several vice president roles in MOL America, first as vice president, marketing, pricing administration & security director in 2002, to vice president, pricing & security management in 2004, to regional sales director (Pacific region) in 2009, and up until his current capacity as MOL Asia, director of sales and customer service when MOL Liner moved to Hong Kong. Jim‟s new role will surely continue to give success as “icing on top” in Transpacific pricing. James Boyer has been appointed to the position of vice president, refrigerated cargo services, reporting to Sundeep Sibal, senior vice president in MOL Liner, Transpacific trade. James will oversee the refrigerated cargo services for Transpacific, Transatlantic and Latin trades. James has been with MOL for 23 years. He joined MOL in 1992 as an account executive in Philadelphia. James has had increasing responsibilities in sales, customer service and trade management. He has 27 years of industry experience. James graduated from LaSalle University with a bachelor of science in business administration. His work base will remain at Lombard, IL, U.S.A. Tom Smart has been appointed to the position of vice president, Transpacific Export trade management reporting to Sundeep Sibal, senior vice president in MOL Liner, Transpacific trade. Tom has been with MOL for close to 13 years. He joined MOL in 2002 as a regional sales manager and has held various positions in sales and trade management. Tom has 31 years of industry experience. Tom graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. His work base will remain at Lombard, IL, U.S.A.
