Cargotec has received an order for four Kalmar reachstackers from Neuss Trimodal GmbH. The intermodal operator, located on the banks of the Rhein River at Germany's Neuss Düsseldorfer Häfen, has opted for two Kalmar DRF400-60C5 and two Kalmar DFR450-60S5 reachstackers. The units will be delivered in November.

As an operator of a trimodal terminal where sea, rail and road converge, the new Kalmar machines will help Neuss Trimodal keep up with the region's demand for multimodal transport. The company has been expanding its operations to meet customers' needs.

Its latest order for DRF machines will improve the dependability and performance of its existing Kalmar reachstacker fleet.

"For the last 10 years we have operated with Kalmar machines placing a significant level of demand on their availability by employing them six days a week, three shifts a day," says Ulrich Altmann, Managing Director of Neuss Trimobal. "These reachstackers have proven their worth over the years as reliable and versatile workhorses. Their ability to handle containers and other bulk cargo arriving by sea, rail or road makes them essential to our operation."

Neuss Trimodal's new machines will come equipped with load capacities of up to 45 tons in the first row. All Kalmar reachstackers are built with trusted, first-class components and engineered with environmental care taken into consideration.
