Global supply chain and logistics services provider, GAC Logistics, has joined Cargo 2000 to enhance its quality assurance and processes in line with industry standards and provide measurable efficiencies and an overall reduction in costs.

GAC says membership of Cargo 2000 will enable it to monitor carrier performance, verify transit times and cut labor-intensive processes, improving its management of shipments. This will strengthen GAC's quality of shipment planning and handling and result in improved efficiencies, cost reductions and revenue increases.

The decision to implement Cargo 2000's quality management system is part of GAC's commitment to provide best practice and value-added services to its customers.
