GAC Pindar has expanded the scope of the role filled by Murray Bishop, its Superyacht Services Manager, to serve as a single point of contact for logistics and shipping support for the global luxury yachting community. Based at the UK sailing hub of Southampton, Murray will focus on serving the owners and operators of superyachts by liaising with GAC offices worldwide to offer a raft of complementary services including: • Logistics – from single spare parts to containers • Yacht & tender transportation • Port agency • Bunker fuel supplies • Canal transits – Panama and Egypt • Crew travel solutions • Crew training Murray’s role will centralise and simplify contact and invoicing for superyacht clients, and he will coordinate the unique package of GAC solutions for the world’s superyachts. Murray’s colleague Mimi Maniati will continue in her role as yacht fuel trader. “We have reached a point in the sector where it makes sense to introduce the concept of a single point of contact for all our clients’ needs, just as GAC has successfully done in other sectors like oil and gas,” Murray Bishop says. “With me acting as their direct link to the resources and expertise of the entire GAC organisation around the world, superyacht owners and operators have easy access to the wide range of shipping, logistics and support services we can offer wherever they go.”
