Singapore's Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) , the world's fourth-largest container shipping firm, said it carried 29 percent more containers in the four weeks to June 25 compared to a year ago.

NOL said in a statement it shipped the equivalent of 221,900 40-foot containers (FEU) on its vessels in the period, up from 172,200 a year earlier, as trans-Pacific and intra-Asia trade recovered.

The average revenue in the period from each container rose to $2,892, up 32 percent from a year earlier. (Reuters)
