In light of the recent tragic events in New Orleans and as a result of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina, Informa has announced a change of venue for this year's Terminal Operations Conference & Exhibition for the Americas (TOC2005 Americas). Previously to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, New Orleans, the event will now take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Savannah from Tuesday 29 November to Thursday 1 December.

Informa wishes to express its sympathies to the City of New Orleans and all those affected by the shocking events of the past week. The organiser has announced that it will donate US$50 to the American Red Cross for every delegate place booked at TOC2005 Americas in support of the New Orleans cause.

Informa would like to thank the Port of New Orleans for its support of TOC2005 Americas as well as the Georgia Ports Authority, which has recently confirmed its support of the event.

Home to the largest single-terminal container facility of its kind on the US East and Gulf coasts, the deepwater Port of Savannah provides an excellent location for TOC2005 America's central discussion themes, including strategies for increasing the capacity and productivity of the port and transport network across North and Latin America.

More information on TOC2005 Americas, including a complete conference agenda, list of exhibitors, and information on how to register as a delegate, exhibitor or visitor can be found on the organizer's website at www.toc-events.com. The site is regularly updated with the latest event news and announcements.
