Over the past few years, Finnish Nurminen Logistics, a member tof the Cargo Equipment Experts CEE network, has made several special deliveries to Belarus. A follow-on to these deliveries came in the summer of 2011, when the company delivered three large tanks from the Klaipeda harbor in Lithuania to the Kostjukovichi and Krichev cement factories.

The largest tanks delivered by Nurminen Logistics were 5 meters in diameter. The heaviest weighed 122 tons. Due to the strict axle weight restrictions in Lithuania and Belarus, a 4-axle truck and a 16-axle trailer were used for the job.

The trip along the freighting permit-compliant route from the loading place to the unloading place racked up a total of 1,300 km. Despite the many challenges encountered on the journey, the deliveries were made in even less time than scheduled. The professional knowhow of Nurminen Logistics' drivers and their familiarity with the conditions in Lithuania and Belarus, as well as the equipment used' a perfect fit for the job' guaranteed that the delivery went smoothly. The success of this delivery in demanding conditions was also made possible through seamless cooperation with Nurminens partner SIA Ultima and the local authorities.
