The 48-door service center features additional yard space and a larger dock to better accommodate Old Dominion's steady growth in business in northern Ohio and southeastern Michigan.
The new location is also part of Old Dominion's pledge to reduce its carbon footprint. The Toledo Service Center is equipped with energy efficient lighting with motion sensors to lessen the total amount of energy consumed and solar powered security fencing.
'With the relocation to this expanded facility, Old Dominion is better poised for growth in northern Ohio and southeast Michigan,' said Mike Leskovec, the manager of the Toledo Service Center. 'This modern facility helps us keep our promise to the environment while also maintaining the commitment to our customers to provide a premium and reliable service.'
Old Dominion has maintained a presence in Toledo for 19 years and currently employs more than 30 people. The service center is strategically located near Interstate 75 at 5950 Stickney Avenue.
The terminal's service area includes 11 cities in Ohio (Sandusky, Toledo, Port Clinton, Huron, Perrysburg, Holland, Swanton, Bryan, Wauseon, Findlay and Carey) and six cities in Michigan (Tecumseh, Manchester, Monroe, Woodville, Jonesville and Adrian).
