For the third straight year, Pasha Stevedoring & Terminals (PST) a professional cargo-handling company with operations in Southern California and the Pacific Northwest, and a wholly owned subsidiary of The Pasha Group, has been recognized by the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) for their commitment to safety and accident prevention in the Pacific Northwest.

The awards for the Group C operations in the Port of Grays Harbor, Aberdeen WA, include 1st Place Stevedoring Company Group C for the third year, Coast Accident Prevention Award for a 3 year zero injury rate, and 1st Place Coast Accident Prevention Award Group C Stevedoring Company. The PMA awards are based on reported injury rates per man-hours worked and are divided by geographic area and size. The Coast awards are given in each terminal category for the best safety performance on the entire West Coast.

Jeff Burgin, Senior Vice President, Pasha Stevedoring & Terminals, notes, "Since we began operations at the Port of Grays Harbor only a few short years ago, it is significant that our Group C stevedoring team consistently receives First Place Safety Awards in the Pacific Northwest. It’s quite a tribute to both our staff and to the hard-working members of Local 24. Accident prevention and safety at the ports where we operate is one of our top priorities. We are proud to have been honored once again for our continued efforts to keep everyone safe at the port terminals. Our staff at Grays Harbor has done an outstanding job and I am glad to see their dedication recognized by the Pacific Maritime Association.”
