Pilot Freight Services, a worldwide provider of transportation and logistics services, announced today that its Harlingen, Texas station has relocated approximately 40 miles west to McAllen, Texas. The new station is closer to its current customer base, as well as to the Pharr Bridge, the region’s main commercial bridge for transportation between Mexico and the United States. This new location provides the newly-named Pilot McAllen with an advantage over competitors. The McAllen station occupies a 30,000 square foot facility, a three-fold increase from its previous location. Pilot’s effort to enhance its convenience to customers shipping to and from Mexico is not limited to its relocation, but also includes its staff. The majority of employees at the McAllen station are bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, and are available to customers around the clock. “We anticipate substantial growth this year and in the future. We’ve increased our sales force and look forward to getting involved in new business transactions that are now open to us,” said Scott Lychwick, franchise owner of Pilot Freight Services’ McAllen station. “We are excited about the move, which gives us a presence where we didn’t have one before, and the ability to independently operate in our customers’ best interest.”
