P&O Nedlloyd and CMA-CGM have today announced a new partnership in the fast growing market segment between Brazil and the United States East Coast.

The Atlantic Brazil Express (ABX) service will deploy five vessels of approximately 2,500 TEU nominal capacity, and will be on a weekly fixed-day sailing basis. P&O Nedlloyd will provide three of the five vessels.

From April the ABX service rotation will be between the ports of Paranagua, Sao Francisco do Sul, Santos, Sepetiba and Suape to Charleston, Norfolk and New York.

It will offer competitive transit times, and the required service reliability to serve customers' requirements.

Commenting on the new service, Todd Rives, P&O Nedlloyd Vice President of North South Trades said,

"We are confident this investment will be a major success, and will strengthen P&O Nedlloyd's position in the East Coast South America Trade."
