Port of Corpus Christi Executive Director, John LaRue, and Port San Antonio President and CEO, Bruce Miller, have been respectively elected Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Free Trade Alliance. LaRue and Miller will lead the Alliance in its efforts to attract foreign investment to the region and assist regional businesses expand their exports, thereby strengthening and diversifying the South Texas economy.

LaRue has served Port Corpus Christi as its Executive Director since 1994, and has been actively involved with the Free Trade Alliance for much of that time. LaRue is also a member of the Port Industries of Corpus Christi, and he is Chairman of the State of Texas Department of Transportation Port Advisory Committee. LaRue also serves on the board of directors of the American Association of Port Authorities.

Miller is President and CEO of Port San Antonio and has extensive experience in urban design, planning and economic development. Mr. Miller is responsible for leading the organization through the planning, marketing and development of Port San Antonio, the former Kelly Air Force Base.
