The World Trade Center of New Orleans (WTC) has appointed Port of South Louisiana Executive Director Paul Aucoin to its 2015 Board of Directors. Mr. Aucoin’s appointment expands the board to 20 directors, which includes Port of New Orleans President and CEO Gary LaGrange and Associated Terminals Director David Fennelly. Mr. Aucoin will take part in the organization’s Government Affairs and Transportation committees. “His service on the Board of Directors is greatly appreciated,” said Dominik Knoll, Chief Executive Officer of the WTC. “We look forward to having the benefit of [his] counsel in helping us form and achieve the objectives of the World Trade Center.” Aucoin has served as Executive Director of the Port of South Louisiana since July 2013. A year before his appointment as Executive Director, he was the Port’s Legal Counsel. Mr. Aucoin has practiced law since October 1970, having his own private practice since May 1971. He has affiliations with the American and Louisiana State Bar Associations, St. James Parish Economic Development Board, Louisiana Housing and Community Development Corporation, River Parishes Community College Board, River Parishes Tourist and Visitors Commission, and River Region Chamber of Commerce Board. “I am excited and looking forward to serving on the World Trade Center board,” said Aucoin. “It plays such an important role in Louisiana trade and I feel that as Executive Director of the Port of South Louisiana, I can contribute to that purpose.”
