CargoWise', a global leader in technology solutions for logistics service providers (LSPs), announced the PPL network has become a WiseIndustry Partner, enabling it to provide its members with ready access to the productivity enhancements enjoyed by CargoWise users worldwide.
Founded in Hong Kong, PPL boasts more than 200 members in more than 90 countries around the world, predominantly focused in the areas of air and sea freight. With a rapidly growing membership, CEO Koen Roeyers says the new relationship offers network members increased productivity by streamlining communications within the network, enabling them to compete with much larger companies.
'CargoWise software products are the foundation of the technology strategy behind some of the world's largest global logistics companies, which are benefitting hugely from the ability to operate multiple offices and locations from a single global database,' says Roeyers. 'CargoWise software will strengthen PPL by making it more efficient for participating businesses to work together using the same communications protocols and standards.'
Volodya Bilanovsky, Vice President Partner Management for CargoWise, says the WiseIndustry Partner program enables independent freight forwarders and logistics companies to significantly reduce their costs and increase service levels by using the communication tools built into ediEnterprise software.
'The WiseIndustry Partner program makes it possible for independent agent networks to create more tightly integrated global networks, so they can effectively compete with large multi-nationals,' says Bilanovsky. 'Not only does this improve the productivity of the individual companies, but it also strengthens the network overall.'
