ProLogis, a leading global provider of distribution facilities, announced full occupancy at ProLogis Pompano Beach Distribution Center Building Three, a recently developed, 82,000-square-foot distribution facility.

'This distribution park is in a prime location with proximity to the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95, giving convenient access throughout the tri-county area,' said Scott Alexander, first vice president and market officer for ProLogis. 'Since its completion in the fall of 2008, the development has generated interest from several new and existing customers, now resulting in 100% occupancy at Building Three.'

The building becomes fully leased with the recent signing of two new lease agreements with:

  • Sunset Moving and Storage, a leading moving company that specializes in large US government contracts, which leased approximately 41,000 square feet at the facility. The company is relocating and expanding from a non-ProLogis distribution center located nearby.
  • Cintas Corporation, a designer and manufacturer of corporate identity uniform programs and other business products and services, which leased approximately 41,000 square feet at the facility. This is ProLogis' seventh current lease agreement with Cintas; the long-time customer occupies space with ProLogis in various locations across the United States, including Florida, Oregon, Nevada and Colorado.

Pompano Distribution Center is a newly developed distribution park comprising three buildings with a total of approximately 245,000 square feet. All facilities at the park include energy-efficient lighting systems and modern amenities such as 30-foot clear heights, impact-resistant glass and an ESFR sprinkler system.

ProLogis is one of the largest providers of distribution space in South Florida with a 5.5-million-square-foot portfolio in the Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach county markets. Additional ProLogis customers in the area include Home Depot, Volkswagen, Electrolux, Pennzoil-Quaker State Co., Williams-Sonoma, Comcast and Ryder System, Inc.
