Regal Logistics has announced its purchase of a new Distribution Center in Los Angeles to give customers broader choice of significant U.S. port gateways, creating a nationwide footprint for Regal with 1.6 million square feet of full service Distribution Centers in Seattle, WA, Los Angeles, CA and Charleston, SC.

With 120,000 square feet of warehouse space, Regal's new facility at 12101 Western Avenue in Garden Grove, CA 92841 is designed for high-volume, quick-turnaround shipping with 27-foot clear height for maximum storage capacity and advanced technology infrastructure including Warehouse Management System (WMS), full Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capability and real time online shipment tracking with advanced dashboard.

'With our presence in Los Angeles, Regal now offers three economically-significant port gateways complete with high performing Distribution Centers powered by one effective system that drives superior supply chain solutions for our customers,' says Garry Neeves, Vice President, Regal Logistics.

Situated on 6.24 acres, it features 14 dock doors, truck scale and fully-fenced, gated yard with closed circuit security cameras. Regal's new facility opens for business January 2013 and is close to the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, with excellent access to I-5, 405 and 605 and CA SR 22 and 55, and Los Angeles, Orange County, Ontario and Long Beach airports.

An important West coast ship point and gateway to Asia, Los Angeles area ports drive business in the sunshine state; the 8th largest economy in the world. The ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles combined are the world's 8th busiest port complex by container volume.

'Options and cost-conscious shipping to increase efficiency are critical for today's high performance supply chain. This expansion enables us to move customer product more directly and cost-effectively and offer market-driven, flexible shipping solutions,' concludes Neeves.
