Addition significantly expands RoadLink USA's operations in southern US markets and enhances national service capability.

RoadLink USA, Inc., the premier North American provider of intermodal trucking and related logistics services, announced that it has acquired Transus Intermodal, LLC, a leading provider of intermodal trucking services in the southern United States.

RoadLink USA is a portfolio company of Fenway Partners, a leading middle-market equity firm that focuses on the transportation/logistics/distribution and branded consumer industries. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Transus has a driver force of 300, primarily comprised of owner-operators. At $40 million in annual revenue, Transus is among the largest providers of intermodal trucking in the South, and with 12 service centers, it is one of a small number that provide full regional coverage in the intermodal trucking space.

Transus's southern service center locations are: Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Charleston, SC; Charlotte, NC; Dalton, GA; Greensboro, NC; Greenville, SC; Jacksonville, FL; Memphis, TN; Nashville, TN; Norfolk, VA; and Savannah, GA. The combination of Transus with RoadLink USA provides the operational platform needed for further expansion of domestic and international service offerings throughout the key southern markets in the US

"Transus will immediately provide RoadLink with a substantial presence in the South, giving us an industry-leading position in every major intermodal region in the United States," said Ron Sorrow, President & CEO of RoadLink USA. "The acquisition also substantially boosts RoadLink's presence in the international intermodal segment, which is continuing to grow due to global outsourcing. Transus has a long, successful history of operations and some of the most talented and experienced employees and leadership in our industry. RoadLink intends to build upon the strengths of the Transus team."

Jim Pressley, former President of Transus who will now head RoadLink's southern operations, said, "Combining the strengths of RoadLink and Transus will give our customers a true national service platform with unparalleled scale, resulting in an enhanced service capability. We are excited by the additional offerings we will now be able to provide to the marketplace."

John Anderson, Chairman of RoadLink USA, said, "Transus is our first acquisition since Fenway Partners made RoadLink its third transportation and logistics portfolio company in September of last year. We believe RoadLink is the ideal vehicle to consolidate the highly fragmented intermodal trucking market space, and the addition of Transus is an excellent first step in achieving our collective vision."

With the Transus acquisition, RoadLink USA has consolidated annual revenue of $250 million generated from a driver force of over 1,700 owner/operators and employees. Operating from 60 service centers from coast-to-coast, the combined company builds on RoadLink USA's position as the largest independent provider of intermodal trucking and related logistics services in North America. RoadLink USA is a portfolio company of Fenway Partners, a private equity firm with $1.7 billion under management that invests in profitable businesses with significant upside potential.

Fenway Partners' other investments in the transportation and logistics space include transportation and logistics provider Greatwide Logistics Services and expedited ground transportation provider Panther Expedited Services.
