RWI Transportation, an asset-based logistics company that provides regional and national truckload, LTL, expedited, and refrigerated warehousing services, announced that John Adams has been named senior director of operations.'

Adams' responsibility includes nation-wide operations linking logistics and fleets to optimize the synergies of RWI's asset-based fleet and logistics teams. In this role, he will direct operations at the logistics offices and terminals across the United States. Adams leads the soon-to-be launched RWI Transportation Management System project, which will enable greater efficiencies and customer access to data and status reports. Adams also is responsible for strategic planning.

Adams has nearly four decades of experience in transportation operations. Prior to RWI, Adams held positions at Frostways, Inc. and Thorn Apple Valley, along with owning R&M Trans., Inc.
