SEKO, a global provider of supply chain solutions, including transportation, logistics and IT solutions, has expanded its Dubai operations into a new facility under new management. The SEKO Dubai office is located within close proximity to the Dubai/Abu Dhabi Airport and the Jebel Ali Seaport and serves all major trade lanes through the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), comprised of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The office also serves trade lanes throughout other developing markets with significant imports from the major ports throughout Asia.

Dubai and the UAE are among the fastest growing logistics centers in the world, as Dubai is securing its status for the foreseeable future with significant investment in its infrastructure, such as the new international airport, further development of the Jebel Ali port and the new Khalifa port in Abu Dhabi. The purpose of the office expansion and change in management is to better serve customers in the Dubai area and beyond, as well as augment business by partnering with an established, independent organization that will adopt the SEKO brand. The office will begin the expansion immediately and will also be deploying the SEKO global operating system, SEKO Red Global, which will provide clients with reliable up-to-the-minute information regarding shipments, instant quotes, online shipment booking capabilities, real-time data and the ability to view inventory throughout their supply chains. The new SEKO Dubai office continues to cover air, ocean and ground operations throughout the UAE. It serves as a major transshipment and distribution hub for the area, with multimodal transportation throughout the entire UAE and the Middle East.

Working in conjunction with a Dubai-based strategic partner, Center Point Logistics and the locally owned Saleh Saeed Lootah Holdings, the office is associated with one of the most reputable and enduring local businesses in the UAE. Center Point Logistics is currently constructing a warehousing facility that will boast more than 100,000 square meters of warehouse space. This will significantly contribute to the capability and service offerings of the SEKO network in Dubai. Negotiations are also currently underway that will enable the office to secure additional premises throughout all major logistics hubs in the UAE and the Middle East in the future. The SEKO Dubai office serves both import and export trade, provides customs brokerage services and warehouse management services for short term and additional value-added services. The office has more than 20 employees with a total of 85+ years of logistics experience in the region. Heading up the SEKO Dubai office are Brent Pearson, Managing Partner and Heather Thomson, Partner ' Business Development. Mr. Pearson stated: 'What is unique about the Dubai market is that it is a strategic hub for the region and is a center point for transportation decision-making in the area. Therefore, our well-established Dubai-based organization fits the SEKO business model and future growth plans very well. We are extremely focused on providing specialized services to our customer base and will continue to establish a greater presence in the UAE and the Middle East market.'

'Dubai is an attractive marketplace for growth and our current expansion in the region has opened new opportunities for our global logistics network of offices,' said William Wascher, President and CEO of SEKO. 'We are confident this new office and its exceptional staff will bring a great deal of value to our partners' global operations as well as increase customer service in the Dubai area.'
