Shipco Transport, one of the world's leading neutral consolidators, has introduced direct intact weekly consolidation services connecting United States with Eastern and Central Europe.

These emerging markets have undergone rapid growth, calling for shorter shipping transits and less hubbing. In conjunction with WWA member and dedicated partner SSL Consolidation, these service enhancements come about as part of a united global expansion initiative.

Expecting a steady growth in these regions, Shipco is the first to offer widespread coverage by launching 4 new direct services during April, 2011. The new services will cover Basel, Prague, Vienna, and Budapest with further expansion expected to Bucharest, Sofia and St. Petersburg during the third quarter. These new services, in conjunction with existing services to Tallinn, Gdynia, Istanbul and Koper, will give Shipco Transport a unique footprint for consolidations into these markets.

Where services into this market typically move via hubs, Shipco's direct services open up new markets and on-carriage opportunities to hundreds of inland points including Constanza, Salzburg, Ostrava and Zurich. Existing transits will improve and allow for a more competitive solution for customers.
