Shipco Transport, one of the world's leading neutral NVOCCs, has started a fortnightly, direct intact less-than-container load ocean freight service from Miami into Itajai, Brazil.

The neutral NVO has seen a recent rise in demand for direct service into the Santa Catarina region in Brazil. With a direct service solution to Itajai, freight will bypass the congested Santos port and allow for faster transit times into the region. The direct service also avoids extra handling of cargo and other potential delays due to inland transportation.

The new LCL service complements 9 existing services between the US and Brazilian ports of Paranagua, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande and Santos. It will be operated in conjunction with Worldwide Alliance member and partner Allink Transportes Internacionais.
