Shipco Transport has started a new less than container load service originating in Rio Haina, Dominican Republic to Miami, Florida. The new service, with a transit time of 5 days, utilizes ocean carrier Antillean Marine Shipping Corp. Along with the new service, the neutral NVO offers inland point intermodal coverage via Miami to all US points as well as transshipment to Latin America.

'Miami and the South Florida region are closely linked to Latin America and being the only neutral service provider to offer service from Dominican Republic to Miami, Shipco offers our customers a unique opportunity, using our Miami hub as a gateway to Latin America and beyond,' commented Linda Beck, VP LCL Import USA.

'Miami is already a big transshipment hub for cargo originating from Asia and Europe to Latin America,' added Jesper Jepsen, VP South Atlantic Region. 'By adding this service we have taken another step towards offering service from Latin America and Caribbean to the rest of the world with Miami as a hub. We are immediately able to offer our customers a strong platform with full visibility of shipments from start to finish.' Shipco will continue to add on new services throughout the year, further enhancing options into Miami from the Caribbean and Latin America.
