South Africa’s Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) will take seven weeks to clear a backlog in coal shipping following a week-long power outage, the company said. Africa’s largest coal exporter said power was restored to the coal terminal at the weekend. The station will scramble to clear millions of tons of coal after the longest shut down in the terminal’s history. A company spokesman said last week the terminal had 250 million rand ($22.4 million) a day in revenue.
