Under the deal, UASC will buy five cargo ships able to carry about 18,000 twenty-foot container units (TEU), and which will be among the largest container vessels in the world. The other five will be smaller ships with a capacity of about 14,000 TEU each.

The South Korean shipbuilder said in a statement that the vessels are scheduled to be delivered between late 2014 and the first half of 2015. (Reuters)
